Large Carrots (1 inch diameter), cut lengthwise in half – consider multi-color (ensure long enough to wrap bacon)

Instructions
Step 1
Heat oven to 400ºF.
Step 2
Place wire rack on bottom of parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet.
Step 3
Wrap each carrot half with 1 bacon slice, taking care to tuck end of bacon slice under wrapped bacon to secure; place, flat sides down, on wire rack.
Step 4
Bake 20 min.
Step 5
Remove baking sheet from oven. Brush carrots with syrup; sprinkle with pepper. Bake an additional 10 min. or until bacon is done.
