Ingredients

beef brisket, cut into chunks

tsp cooking wine
1
tbsp canola or vegetable oil
1
onion, sliced
2
cloves garlic, smashed
2
tomatoes, cut into wedges

Instructions
Step 1
In a large pot, add brisket. Cover with cold water and add cooking wine. Bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes. Drain and rinse the brisket. Remove brisket from pot and set aside.
Step 2
In a large pot over medium heat, add canola or vegtable oil. Add onion and garlic and saute until fragrant.
Step 3
Add tomatoes, stir until soft. Return brisket to the pot.
Step 4
Pour Classico Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce along with enough water to just cover the brisket. Cover and simmer for 90 minutes or until tender. (For a faster option, cook in a pressure cooker for 30 minutes)
Step 5
Uncover and simmer for 5 minutes to thicken sauce slightly.
Step 6
Adjust seasoning to taste.
Optional: Garnish with cilantro leaves.
