Ingredients

    (28 g) TACO BELL Original Taco Seasoning Mix

  • 5

    (140 g) tortilla chips (about 5 cups)

  • 1/4

    cup

    (50 mL) shredded Mexican style cheese

  • 2

    tomatoes, chopped

  • 1/2

    red and yellow sweet pepper, de-seeded and chopped

  • 1/2

    white onion, chopped

  • 1

    cup

    (250 mL) shredded iceberg lettuce

  • 1

    fresh jalapeῆo pepper, sliced


Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Prepare meat as directed on taco seasoning package. 

  2. Step 2

    Heat oven to 375◦F (190◦C).

  3. Step 3

    Spread tortilla chips into even layer on parchment- or foil-covered rimmed baking sheet.

  4. Step 4

    Top with layers of meat, cheese, tomatoes, sweet peppers and onions.

  5. Step 5

    Bake 3 to 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

  6. Step 6

    Top with lettuce and jalapeῆo peppers before serving.

    TIP

    Short Cut: Prepare recipe using ¼ cup (50 mL) drained jarred jalapeῆo pepper slices.
