What flavour combination could be better than chocolate and peanut butter? Our two favourite classic flavours unite in these brownie-like thumbprint cookies filled with creamy peanut butter. Rolling the chocolate cookie dough in sugar gives them an enticing crunch and sparkle. If you like rich chocolaty flavour and gooey fillings, you're sure to love these easy-to-make cookies.

Instructions
Step 1
Microwave butter and chocolate in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add 1-3/4 cups granulated sugar; mix well. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour; mix well.
Step 2
Refrigerate 1 hour.
Step 3
Heat oven to 350°F. Roll dough into 64 (1-inch) balls; roll balls in remaining sugar. Place 2 inches apart, on parchment-covered baking sheets.
Step 4
Bake 8 min. or just until centres of cookies are set. (Do not overbake.) Cool on baking sheets 2 min. Press indentation into centre of each cookie. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
Step 5
Mix peanut butter and icing sugar in medium bowl until blended. Pipe or spoon filling into indentations in cookies.
